The organizational and practical experience of modernization and retooling of the Belarusian dairy industry is worth studying and expanding into the rest of the Customs Union, Vladimir Labinov, Executive Director of the Russian Dairy Industry Union told media.
Vladimir Labinov took part in the international seminar «Biomembrane processes, technologies, equipment for processing milk whey and the manufacturing of functional products using them. Legislative environment and control over dairy products in Russia and the Customs Union», which took place in Mogilev.
The specialist said that radical technological changes in milk production and processing have taken place in Belarus recently. As a result, the steady product quality earns the ever growing trust of customers, including Russian ones.
The Belarusian dairy industry is lucky that the country’s leadership pays close attention to the industry’s development. The government provides support at all levels, with considerable funds channeled into retooling the industry, remarked Vladimir Labinov. It is also important that Belarusians are now working hard to centralize the dairy industry. In the future it will enable more effective operation while allowing more successful promotion of brands on foreign markets.
For now Russian agricultural companies can satisfy 80% of their country’s dairy market demand. The country imports the rest. Belarus is one of the key partners in this area.
