IMF mission to visit Ukraine August 29 through September 5

A mission from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) will visit Ukraine from August 29 to September 5, the IMF office in Ukraine has said in a statement, citing IMF Resident Representative in Ukraine Max Alier.
«A group of IMF experts will visit Kyiv in the period from August 29 to September 5 to discuss technical issues related to the budget for 2013, energy sector reform and social assistance programs,» reads the statement. The IMF did not say who will head the mission, without disclosing any other details. Earlier, First Deputy Head of Ukraines Presidential Administration Iryna Akimova said that Ukraine planned to discuss in October with representatives of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) the issues related to the extension of the Stand-By Arrangement. As reported, the IMF mission last visited Ukraine on May 2128.
