03.08.2012 09:17 "Agro Perspectiva" (Kyiv) —
The Cabinet of Ministers and the National Bank of Ukraine will not allow devaluation of the national currency, and the hryvnia exchange rate will remain stable, Prime Minister Mykola Azarov said during his working trip to Zaporizhia.
«You can see that for 2.5 years the hryvnia exchange rate has remained stable. It will be stable until the elections, and remain stable after the elections, because we solve the issue not on the basis of the election, but based on the development of the economy, and economic development needs stability,» the head of government said. Addressing personnel of the Dnieper water supply station Number 1, the Prime Minister once again stressed that the Government will continue to gradually increase salaries and pensions, based solely on the possibilities of economic growth. «We have not used the printing press even once over the past 2.5 years, and will not use it in the future,» Mykola Azarov said.
