Eastern Partnership a good platform for realization of Ukraine's, Moldova's EU integration aspirations

Ukrainian First Deputy Prime Minister Valeriy Khoroshkovsky announced this during meetings with Moldovan President Nicolae Timofti and Minister for Foreign Affairs and European Integration Iurie Leanca. The meetings were held in Chisinau on June 5, the press service of the first deputy prime minister reported.
«Ukraine supports the EU integration course of Moldova. We are interested in cooperation, exchange of experience, and we are ready for concerted actions in this direction,» Khoroshkovsky said, adding that the Eastern Partnership program could be a good platform for the realization of the EU integration aspirations of Ukraine and Moldova. He focused on the high level of relations between Ukraine and Moldova in the political and economic spheres and also highlighted the prospect of cooperation between the two countries as part of the Eastern Partnership program. During the meetings, the sides also discussed the settlement of the Transdniestrian conflict. According to Ukraines first deputy prime minister, the settlement of the Transdniestrian conflict should be based on respect for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Moldova. Khoroshkovsky stressed Ukraines readiness to take advantage of its chairmanship of the OSCE to assist in resolving this issue.
