Cabinet initiates meat/meat products import indicative prices introduction

Prime Minister Yuliya Tymoshenko
declared Cabinet initiates meat/meat products import indicative prices
introduction,
reported Cabinet press-service referring to Tymoshenko speech on
agricultural producers meeting.
As to press-service, Cabinet will hand over to VR for
examining draft Law clearly defining procedure of adoption/establishing
meat/meat products indicative prices (with indicative prices depending on
domestic products cost value).
Press-service made it known, entry duty rate will be fixed 10%
(corresponding to meat import indicative price).
As to Kateryna Vashchuk, people deputy, Government together
with people deputies are going to work out draft Laws necessary for
meat/meat products import indicative prices introduction.
As to Ministry of Economics, presently Ministry experts are
elaborating meat import indicative prices defining methodics and
discussing procedure of indicative prices adoption/establishing.
As earlier reported, last few months foods (in part. meat) prices have
growing tendency.
Cabinet proposes VR to create meat reserve fund in order to
execute domestic market meat interventions for prices stabilization.
Within Mar, beef (cattle) prices have grown 1.1–18.8% (up to
UAH16.93–23.1/kg) against Feb on 21 regions markets; pork prices have risen
0.9–21.8% (up to UAH19–27/kg) as of Feb on 22 regions markets, while
poultry prices are up 0.9.-24.9% against Feb (to UAH11.6–14.75/kg) on 25 regions markets.
