Medvedev calls for decisive privatization of state-owned companies
11.04.2012 09:57 "Agro Perspectiva" (Kyiv) —
Russian President Dmitry Medvedev has called for a decisive and full privatization of state-owned companies.
Meeting with representatives of the so-called «open government» in Moscow, he said that the earlier passed decisions to privatize state assets were being «eroded by expediency considerations», which means that they were in fact not being implemented.
Among the assets the government is planning to sell are the Novorossiisk trade port, the Sberbank and VTB banks and the Sheremetyevo and Vnukovo airports.
As for the business climate in Russia, the fact that each sixth businessman faced legal proceedings is a «catastrophe» that «undermines faith in the existence of normal conditions for business development,» the president said. Source: ITAR-TASS.
