Balance of foreign trade by goods and services amount to USD 4 billions
11.02.2003 "Agro Perspectiva" (Kyiv) - Export of goods and services has exceeded import by 4 bln USD in 2002. The deputy of the state secretary of the Ministry of economy and for the question of the European integration Vladimir Stecenko has informed about it at the briefing on Monday. According to his data, the foreign trade turn-over of the goods and services has increased by 8.2% in comparison with 2001 up to 39.8 bln.USD in 2002. The export of goods and services has increased by 10.4% in 2002 in comparison with the same parameter for 2001 up to 21.9 bln.USD. I has increased by 5.7% up to 17.9 bln.UAH. According to the provisional data, the balance for goods has grown almost in 3 times in 2002 (1.3 bln.USD) in comparison with 2001(0.489 bln.USD). He has added, that the balance for goods has grown at the expense of increase of grain export, petroleum export and also at the expense of small increase of export of production of mechanical engineering. Vladimir Stecenko informed that according to preliminary data, the balance for services has grown also by 0.3 bln.USD. "It is connected with transition to other rates for transportation of the Russian gas through the territory of Ukraine in second half of 2002 " - he has said. The balance of foreign trade by goods and services has worsened by 34.2 mln.USD in first half of 2002 in comparison with the appropriate period of 2001 down to 1 715.8 mln.USD. The balance of foreign trade by goods and services has amounted to 2.886 bln.USD in 2001. According to the bulletin Agra + "Grain".
