Customs Union ready to ransom Ukraine from WTO

Members of the Customs Union of the Unified Economic Space ready to compensate Ukraines possible losses due to its membership in the World Trade Organization.
This was voiced by Deputy Economy Minister of Ukraine, Governments Commissioner for Cooperation with the Russian Federation, CIS countries and EurAsES Valeriy Muntiyan. At the same time, Muntiyan emphasized that the WTO membership cannot be an obstacle for Ukraine in case of its Customs Union accession. «If Ukraine is a participant in the Customs Union, it will be 1.5% of GDP growth additionally for Ukraine,» he noted.The official reminded that currently Ukraine proposes cooperation with the Customs Union according to «3+1» formula, however, Russia considers such a format unacceptable. Earlier, President Viktor Yanukovych has said that Ukraine will consider possibility of joining the Customs Union of Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan no earlier than in a year, when results of its work are visible.
