8.2 million tons of grain exported by rail for 10 months

Since the beginning of 2011, Ukrainian railways have carried more than 11 million tons of grain, including 8.2 million tons for export, Ukrzaliznytsia press service reported.
Donetsk Railways carried 279.7 thousand tons, Lviv 574.8 thousand tons, Odesa 3,693 thousand tons, Southern 2,396 thousand tons, South West 3,003 thousand tons and Prydniprovska 1,054 thousand tons. On the average, 572 cars a day were loaded. In general, Ukrzaliznytsias grain fleet consists of 11,579 wagons. The main types of grain cargoes are wheat, barley, corn, rapeseed and sunflower.
