Cargill Limited, McDonald's golf tournament raises $321,000 for Ronald McDonald houses across Canada

Cargill Value Added Meats demonstrated last month that when companies like Cargill and McDonalds get together with the support of their community, amazing things can happen, all to benefit a great cause.
On a beautiful summer day in July, The Forest City National Golf Course hosted the sold out 5th annual Fore! The House Golf Tournament; which raises funds for Ronald McDonald Houses across Canada. Participating in the event were 144 golfers made up of both Cargill suppliers and representatives from McDonalds Canada. Cargill had 39 adult and 19 children volunteers overseeing the tournament. This year, over $321,000 was raised for the RMHC and over $1.5 million has been raised since the tournament first started five years ago.
«We are so proud of everyone who took part in the fundraising event. It is thanks to all of the generous sponsors, the support of the London community and our team of volunteers at Cargill that we are able to realize the tournament every year», said Hans Kabat, Managing Director for Cargill Value Added Meats. «This event is something we look forward to every summer».
Cargill purchased the Cargill Value Added Meats facility, formerly Cuddy Foods, in 2002 and has been proudly supporting RMHC ever since.
