Grain stocks in Kazakhstan totaled 6 MMT on August 1

According to Kazakhstan’s Statistics Agency, 6.126 MMT of grain was stored in the country as of August 1.
This included prevailingly food grain 5.545 MMT. In addition, 107 KMT is grain destined for seed and 475 KMT for feed grain.
Wheat still remains the leading crop. Its stocks had totaled 5.567 MMT as of the beginning of August, including 5.379 MMT of milling wheat, 78 KMT of seed, and 108.9 KMT of feed wheat.
Available barley stocks had totaled 473.6 KMT in the country by August 1. The bulk of it (331.8 KMT) was accounted for by feed, food barley amounted to 120 KMT, and seed barley to 21.7 KMT.
As before, the leading region is North Kazakhstan with 1.657 MMT stored at elevators and grain collection stations there as of the beginning of August, including 1.183 MMT of pulses.
The second position belongs to Kostanay region: 1.6 MMT of grain was there as of August 1, mostly in elevators (1.387 MMT).
Akmola region holds the third position: 1.47 MMT of grain, including 1.3 MMT stored in elevators and grain-collecting stations.
