As of 2009, agrarians raised sunseeds sales up 71.9%, to 4.995 mn MT

04.03.2010 16:23 "Agro Perspectiva" (Kyiv) — In 2009 agricultural companies have lifted sunseeds sales to 4.995 mn MT, up 2.089 mn MT (+ 71.9%) against 2008, reported State Statistics Committee. As for 2009 sunseeds sales structure, companies sold 4.9% total sunseeds to processors; 0.3% were given to population (incl. public catering system) on account of salaries (1.2% − to shareholders on account of land plots/property shares rental payment). 6.4% sunseeds were sold on markets (87.2% — through other trade channels). As to Agro Perspective earlier report, in 2008 agrarians had sold 2.906 mn MT sunseeds (down against 3.2 mn MT in 2007).
