10 regions Jan rice prices up 0.3-4.6%, to UAH8,71-9,93 per kg

05.02.2010 21:18 "Agro Perspectiva" (Kyiv) — Jan 2010 rice prices have grown to UAH8,71–9,93 per kg (up 0.3–4.6% against Dec 2009) on 10 regions markets and simultaneously sagged to UAH9,92–11,2 per kg (down 1.3–6.3% against Dec 2009) on 4 regions markets, reported Ministry of Economics representative. As to representative, within Jan 2010 most expensive rice (UAH11,2 per kg) was sold on c. Kyiv markets, while most cheap rice (UAH8,71 per kg) was sold on AR of the Crimea markets. As to Ministry of Economics, Jan 2010 retail sale network rice prices have risen to UAH8,12–9,73 per kg, up 0.1–3.9% as of Dec 2009 in 9 regions shops; at same time, prices have declined to UAH8,5–10,04 per kg, down 0.1–3.4% as of Dec 2009 in 4 regions shops. As to representative, Jan 2010 maximal (UAH10,04 per kg) and minimal (UAH8,12 per kg) rice prices have been registered correspondingly in c. Kyiv and Dnipropetrovsk region shops. As to Agro Perspective earlier report, Dec 2009 rice prices hoisted to UAH9,27–11,95 per kg (up 0.2–7.5% against Nov 2009) on 11 regions markets and simultaneously dipped to UAH8,68–9,97 per kg (down 0.1–2.4% against Nov 2009) on 6 regions markets As to Agro Perspective, Dec 2009 retail sale network rice prices lifted to UAH8,04–9,89 per kg, up 0.6–5.9% as of Nov 2009 in 13 regions shops; at same time, prices dropped to UAH9,1–9,65 per kg, down 0.3–1% as of Nov 2009 in 5 regions shops.
