In Jan-Oct agrarians grew potatoes sales up 9.9%, to 210,595 MT

04.12.2009 13:57 "Agro Perspectiva" (Kyiv) — In Jan-Oct 2009 agricultural companies have improved potatoes sales to 210,595 MT, up 18,976 MT (+ 9.9%) against Jan-Oct 2008, reported State Statistics Committee.

As for Jan-Oct 2009 potatoes sales structure, companies have sold 7.9% total potatoes to processors; 1.3% potatoes were given to population (incl. public catering system) on account of salaries and 0.1% − to shareholders on account of land plots/property shares rental payment.

11.9% potatoes were sold on markets (78.8% - through other trade channels).

As to report, in Jan-Oct 2008 agrarians sold 191,619 MT potatoes.

As to Agro Perspective earlier report, in Jan-Sept 2009 agricultural companies had risen potatoes sales to 156,818 MT, up 19,948 MT (+ 14.6%) against Jan-Sept 2008.
