Agrarian Fund bought 184,000 MT grains

As of Oct 31, Agrarian Fund purchased 184,000 MT new crop food grains (to be bought for State Food Reserve forming), reported Minister of Agrarian Policy Yuriy Melnyk. As to Minister, Fund has already purchases 37% of total initially planned 700,000 MT State Food Reserve grains (with last year remainders taken into account). Melnyk admitted only AR of the Crimea, Lugansk region and Zakarpatska region have completely fulfilled State Food Reserve forming task. Due to regions State Food Reserve forming low activity, some regions may face 2008 first half flour market interventions problems, said Melnyk. Earlier, Melnyk accused Regional State Administrations of having had not assured Agrarian Fund fast enough grains purchase rates. Reportedly, as of Sept 18, Agrarian Fund had bought 112,000 MT food wheat for (16% total planned) for State Food Reserve.
