Writing off of the debts GAK "Bread of Ukraine" for 1992-1994
08.11.2002. Agro Perspectiva (Kiev)- According to the words of the vice-prime minister L. Kozachenko, the Cabinet of the Ministers considers a possibility of writing off the debts of the state joint-stock company "Bread of Ukraine" for 1992-1994 years. The sum of the debt is not named yet, as the inventory of the liabilities of the company proceeds.
The chairman of the board of the company "Bread of Ukraine" M. Êucher has informed, that the company can not have responsibility for the debts of 1992-1996 years, as the solution about it creation is accepted in August, 1996. According to the information of the company "Bread of Ukraine", Departments of grain products and compound feeds of the Ministry of agriculture of Ukraine (was founders of “Bread of Ukraine” company lately) have received credits (soymeal and grain) under the program PL-480 and GSM-102 of the Ministry of agriculture of USA under the warranties of government, and also credit of the EC in 1992-1994 years.
L. Kozachenko has indicated, that the government will be ready to name the sum of the debts, that are subject to writing off through three months. As he said, the most probably, mechanism of writing off the debts and the sums will be affirmed by the Parliament of Ukraine.
The Government has already ratified the plan of re-structuring of the company, according to which till December 1 the Ministry of agrarian policy should ratify the charter of agency on reconstruction of the indebtedness of the enterprises of agriculture, which will be separated from the structure of the company "Bread of Ukraine".
