State Reserve: country grains reserves are sufficient to stabilize any regions market

Ukrainian State Committee for Material Reserves (State Reserve) companies current grains stocks are quite enough to stabilize any of Ukrainian regions grains/bread market if necessary, reported State Reserve Chairman Viktor Kyrychenko. “Grains stocks are sufficient to make intervention in any region and reduce tension,” declared State Reserve Chairman. As to him, presently flour shortage is felt only in several regions. Kyrychenko made it known State Reserve had concluded 98,000 MT flour shipments contracts (incl. wheat flour – 75,000 MT/rye flour – 22,600 MT). As to him, State Reserve presently sells highest grade wheat flour at UAH1,070-1,350 per MT (1 grade – UAH850-1,200 per MT; 2 grade – UAH800-980 per MT; rye flour – UAH950-1,120 per MT). As to Agro Perspective earlier report, Ministry of Agrarian Policy had urged Cabinet to allocate additional UAH600 mn to State Reserve and Agrarian Fund (each) to purchase grains/form food reserves in order to assure country bread market stability.
