Import of meat Russia has essentially grown
29.03.2007 09:30 "Agro Perspectiva" (Kyiv) —
Growth of real incomes of Russians and strengthening of rouble play on a hand to foreign manufacturers of meal and drinks. In January into Russia it has been imported on 60 % more than the import foodstuffs and selkhoztovarov, than year earlier, marks(celebrates) Minekonomrazvitiya. One of these days the ministry has published the monthly report on position in economy for January-February, 2007, write «Sheets».
For January to Russia it has been imported to 1,6 times of more foodstuffs and selkhozsyrya, than year earlier (in cost expression). Import svezhemorozhenogo meat twice has most of all jumped up. Alcoholic and soft drinks as follows from the document, it has been imported on 70 % more, sugar-raw on 60 %, a fresh and frozen fish into 1,5 times, coffee and citrus in 1,4 times.
In the ministry consider(count), that growth of import was helped(assisted) by strengthening rouble, increase of incomes of the population and insufficient competitiveness of the domestic goods. " Import takes away a share (market), than a domestic production much more aggressively, and it is the long-term tendency ", general director IKAR Dmitry Rylko agrees. Its(his) explanation coincides with arguments Minekonomrazvitiya. In January, 2006, according to the ministry, cost of import of the foodstuffs has grown on 13,5 %, and for all 2006 on 23,9 %.
The general director of company Stanley Beverages (the distributor of drinks) Vladimir Zhosan speaks about 30 % growth of sales of alcoholic and nonalcoholic beer, more than 60 % growth of sales of water of marks Nestle Waters and doubling of sales of power drinks. Importers of dear(expensive) mineral water have successfully taken advantage of an interdiction on deliveries «Borzhomi». And here figure Minekonomrazvitiya has surprised suppliers of alcohol after acceptance of amendments in " the alcoholic law " in January-February, 2006 the volume of import was maximal, Alexander Romanov, executive director of committee of manufacturers of alcoholic production of Association of the European business (unites the largest international manufacturers of alcohol) speaks. " It is possible to assume some growth in cost expression (in January, 2007), but too not ", it(he) is perplexed 70 %.
Butchers explain double increase in deliveries of the frozen meat growth of procurement prices, logistical problems and for the first time in history the duly beginning of annual licensing to importers. " In IV quarter in the international market catastrophically there were no refrigerator containers, the some people came with a delay about two months, the goods with the license for import per 2006 came even in February, 2007, and the Petersburg port does not cope with loading ", Sergey Yushin from National meat association speaks.
Growth of deliveries of a fish in January, 2007 speaks removal of an interdiction on import of the Norwegian fish which has been entered since January, 1st, 2006, reminds the Novel of Laurels from Northern company. Really, on results of January, 2006 Minekonomrazvitiya has fixed(recorded) decrease(reduction) in deliveries svezhemorozhenoj fishes just in 1,5 times. And in money terms it is necessary to search for the reasons of growth of deliveries of citrus in increase in minimally admissible customs cost, instead of physical growth of deliveries, David Kalikhman, the general director of group Globus importing fruit and vegetables considers(counts).
