Jan-Aug pigs sale price down 15%, to UAH8,689 per MT

Within Jan-Aug 2006 Ukrainian agricultural companies of all kinds ownership (except small-scale ones) have declined pigs average sale price to UAH8,689.3 per MT, down UAH1,553.9 per MT (- 15.2%) against Jan-Aug 2005, reported State Statistics Committee. As to report, in Jan-Aug 2006 agricultural companies were selling pigs to processors at UAH8,863.1 per MT; companies gave pigs to population (incl. public catering system) at UAH9,203.4 per MT on account of salaries and to shareholders at UAH11,119.7 per MT on account of land plots/property shares rental payment. As to Committee, agricultural companies sold pigs in shops, markets, stalls and booths at at UAH7,591.5 per MT; pigs were sold at UAH8,411.2 per MT through other trade channels. Within Jan-Aug 2005 companies were selling pigs at average UAH10,243.2 per MT. As to Agro Perspective earlier report, within Jan-Jul 2006 Ukrainian agricultural companies of all kinds ownership (except small-scale ones) had lowered pigs average sale price to UAH8,647.8 per MT, down UAH1,551.6 per MT (- 15.2%) as of 2005 similar. In Jan-Aug 2006 agricultural companies of all kinds ownership (except small-scale ones) have grown pigs sales to UAH131,144 MT, up UAH39,202 MT (+ 42.6%) as of Jan-Aug 2005.
