17.08.2006 09:23 "Agro Perspectiva" (Kyiv) —
Ukrainian Main Standardization Administration is convinced it will be able to introduce all necessary changes into Ukrainian Wheat State DSTU 3768 Standard (established in 2004) on condition if power bodies put forward corresponding demand, reported Andriy Nelepov, Main Standardization Administration Chief. «Wheat Standard necessary alterations are to be accepted only by country Agro-Industrial Complex experts. Besides, grain market operators as well as power bodies, producers and consumers should as well come to agreement on proposed changes. In case all market operators suggest/confirm changes, we will be able to accept them and introduce into Standard rather quickly,» declared Nelepov. As earlier reported, this year Ukrainian crop wheat is characterized with corn-bugs damage high percentage, what makes it problematic to determine wheat class. As to market operators, damaged are 19% total country wheat (depending on regions).
