Pryluky City Hall urges Zelensky to veto "tobacco" law

22.10.2019 20:47 "Agro Perspectiva" (Kyiv) — As of last week, within an extraordinary special session, the Pryluky City Council approved the request to the Ukrainian President, Verkhovna Rada and Cabinet to suspend PJSC Tobacco Company VT-Pryluky work, Ukrinform says referring to the Pryluky City Council Department of Information Activity and Communication report. «The appeal to the President, the Verkhovna Rada and the Cabinet was supported by a majority of votes at an extraordinary session,» the Department expert Svitlana Martseniuk admits. As to the report, within the appeal (published on the Pryluky City Council site) deputies ask the Ukrainian President to use his veto in order to carry out additional study and discussion of the Ukrainian law No. 1049, in particular amendment No. 8; the study is to be made with involvement of representatives of the tobacco industry and other stakeholders.
