Brazilian sugar cane sown areas frost-affected

As of last week, Brazilian some agricultural regions faced soil frosts (incl. regions focused on coffee and sugar cane cultivation), with agrarians wiating for crop decline Ukrainian National Association of Sugar Producers says referring to the Reuters report.
As to the report, the soil frosts have affected mostly cane sugar, coffee and winter late maize/wheat cultivation areas within Brazilian southern and southeast regionsof Brazil, wherein the most intense polar air mass have entered.
Reportedly, as of recent, the Brazilian sugar companies and coffee cooperatives have sent their experts to the weather-affected areas to perform a more accurate damage evaluation. In meanwhile, the sugar and ethanol producer Sao Martinho SA has said that its cane sugar seedlings have been frost-struck at 12,000 ha. However, at same time, Sao Martinho SA expects that won’t influence its sugar/ethanol output too much.
