Now we import the sugar from RF and Belarus, and at same time we export some sugar to Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan. So, this new project is designed to assure our country sugar complete self-sufficiency. As a result, the domestic market won’t any more suffer the sugar rushing demand and price growth, as it was earlier,» Sultanov said.
As to him, the Kazakhstan sugar annual domestic market demand totals about 500,000 tons.
