First ever, Ukrainian producers take part within Malaysian halal exhibition

12.04.2019 21:18 "Agro Perspectiva" (Kyiv) — As of last week, the Ukrainian producers participated, first ever, within the most prestigious international exhibition of halal products MIHAS-2019 (taking place within Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, within this year Apr 3 - Apr 6), Ukrinform says referring to the Kyiv Chamber of Commerce and Industry report. It is to be admitted, MIHAS (Malaysia International Halal Showcase) is an annual trade fair organised by the Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE), aimed to facilitate the sourcing and selling of quality halal products and services globally. MIHAS first started as of 2004. «The Ukrainian companies have, due to support of the Kyiv Chamber of Commerce, for the first time ever, taken part within the 16th Malaysian Halal MIHAS-2019 exhibition, which took place within Kuala Lumpur,» the report reads. As to the report, the Ukrainian agricultural companies have, for the first time ever, entered the export halal sale markets without any intermediaries. "Among nine Ukrainian companies that announced their participation within the exhibition there were: Acme trading company, Agroimport co., Empire of Fats LLC, Novovolynskiy Oils and Fats Integrated Plant Ltd. and Ukrainian Trade Association. They have held fruitful negotiations with about fifty foreign companies, " the report reads.
