Trofimsteva: Ukrainian agricultural products export up over 24%

Within Jan-Feb 2019, the Ukrainian agricultural products/foods’ export has grown to US$3.5 milliard, up US$683.8 million (24.4%) against Jan-Feb 2018, Ukrainian Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food says referring to Ukrainian Acting Minister of Agrarian Policy and Foods Olga Trofimtseva report.
«As of this year Jan-Feb, the agricultural products/foods’ have shared 43.9% of the Ukrainian total goods’ export. Highest export rates were achieved by maize (33.6% of the Ukrainian total agricultural products/foods’ export), sunoil, safflower oil and cotton oil (20.13%), wheat and wheat/rye mixture (11.84%),» Trofimtseva admits.

«Despite the slowdown in the growth rates of Ukrainian agricultural and food exports to the EU markets this year, we are sure that further reduction of trade barriers between Ukraine and the EU will have a positive effect on both sides, and more and more Ukrainian exporters will enter the EU markets with their own products,» Trofimtseva said.
