At present, 53% of total Ukrainian autumn-sown winter crops are under good conditions, 37% - under satisfactory, Ukrinform says referring to Deputy Minister of Agricultural Policy and Food Volodymyr Topchyy report.
«Now 53% of winter crops are under good conditions, 37% - under satisfactory, and only 10% - under rare/weak. However, it is to be admitted, the weather conditions within the last 5 years have been rather favorable for the winter crops’ growth - what has finally resulted in domestic crops’ high harvests. So far, there is no information that some crops have perished within the hibernation,» Topchiy said.
As to him, this year the winter crops development has been seriously supported by the fact of the recovery of the vegetation having had started a month earlier against usual.
