Ukraine, Slovenia discuss veterinary, phytosanitary cooperation

As of this week, Head of the Ukrainian State Food Safety and Consumer Protection Service Volodymyr Lapa together with other Service officials have had a meeing with the representatives of the Administration of the Republic of Slovenia on Food Safety, Veterinary and Plant Protection, Ukrainian State Service for Foods Safety and Consumer Protection reports.
As to the report, the meeting participants have discussed a number of issues of bilateral cooperation between Ukraine and the Republic of Slovenia within the veterinary medicine sphere.
As to the report, the Ukrainian officials side told their Slovenian colleges about the structure and directions of the work of the State Food Safety Service, its territorial bodies and the network of laboratories of veterinary and sanitary expertise. Besides, the meeting participants analyzed the basic principles of the Ukrainian veterinary and phytosanitary legislation, the system of registration of veterinary medicines and a number of issues on the implementation of sanitary and phytosanitary measures within Ukraine.
Reportedly, the Slovenian officials, for their part, told the Ukrainians about the structure and directions of the work of the Slovenian Food Safety, Veterinary and Plant Protection.
As to the report, the meeting participants have also highlighted a number of priority areas for further cooperation between their competent authorities.
