Soybeans have become Ukrainian oilseeds export leader

Within 2018 Jan-Jun, Ukrainian agrarians exported over 1.4 million tons soybeans for
US$566 million, Ukrinform says referring to Mykola Puhachov, National Scientific Center «Institute of Agricultural Economics» Deputy Director, report.
«The main export article of the oilseeds’ group so far remain the soybeans whose export within the first half of 2018 has exceeded 1.4 million tons for US$ 566 million (what makes almost 87% of the Ukrainian total oilseeds’ export,» Puhachov admits.
Besides, Puhachova notes, within 2018 Jan-Jun, Ukraine has also exported 128,000 tons rape for US$56 million and 18 million sunseeds for US$9 million.
As to Puhachov, within 2018 Jan-Jun, Ukraine has exported total oilseeds for US$651 million, down 6.7% against 2017 Jan-Jun.
As to him, Turkey has become the leader among the largest importers of the Ukrainian oilseeds this year. Turkey has shared 24.9% of the Ukrainian total oilseeds export. Thus, within Jan-Jun 2018, this country has purchased 423,000 tons of Ukrainian oilseeds for US$165 million (incl. 421,000 tons of soybeans for US$163 million).
