Ukrainian Jan-May ice cream output up 1.7%

As of this week, while sharing an interview with the Ukrinform, Ihor Bartkovskiy, President of the Association of the Ukrainian Ice Cream and Frozen Foods Producers, said within this year Jan-May Ukraine produced 42,800 tons of ice cream (up 1.7% against last year similar).
«Within this year Jan-May, the Ukrainian ice cream output amounted to 42,800 tons what means a 1.7% growth. Besides, within this year Jan-May, 2,900 tons ice cream were exported a 23.1% growth. Ice cream export to the EU countries account for 8% of total ice cream exports,» he admitted.
As to Bartkovskiy, companies that are members of the Association undergo voluntary quality control checks of their ready products within domestic laboratories since 2016.
«All samples of ice cream tested this year meet the norms and requirements,» he said.
It is to be reminded, Ukrainian 2017 ice cream output was 96,800 tons, up 2.4% against 2016 (export exceeded 5,000 tons, up 13.5% against 2015).
It is to be admitted, now the Ukrainian ice cream is exported to 50 countries.
