22.06.2018 23:48 "Agro Perspectiva" (Kyiv) —
As of this week, at the meeting of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Agrarian Policy and Land Relations, the Committee members have unanimously adopted the decision to recommend the draft law ¹ 4532 "About recognizing as obsolete of a number of Ukrainian laws regarding State regulation of sugar output and sale" for the second reading,
Ukrainian National Association of Sugar Producers reports.
As to the report, this draft law is meant to cancel the norms of the law «On State regulation of sugar output and sale» as this law hasn’t succeeded to fulfill its tasks; it is to be admitted, this law has imposed the restrictions on the domestic market sugar sales (quota "A") and fixed the domestic market sugar/sugar beets minimum prices.
As to the report, adoption of this draft law will support the Ukrainian sugar industry work, ensure the domestic sugar market functioning (based on free competition and sugar complex efficiency rise), ensure the State food safety and boost revenues to budgets of all levels.
