Ukrainian domestic consumer basket foods down

As of this year May, Ukrainian domestic eggs, buckwheat, potatoes and onions’ prices have faced the deepest decline among other domestic consumer basket foods against this year Apr, Ukrainian Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food says referring to the Ukrainian State Statistics Service report.
As to the report, domestic eggs have become a leading article as for prices decline: thus, as of this year May, domestic eggs prices have fallen to UAH24,17 per ten (down 10% against this year Apr UAH26,65 per ten).
Thus, as of this year May, Ukrainian domestic buckwheat groats’ prices have declined to UAH17.38 per kg (down 8% against this year Apr); onion - to UAH6.57 per kg (down 4.1%); potatoes - to UAH7.54 per kg (down 3.8%); sugar - to UAH14.83 per kg (down 2%); chicken fillet - to UAH89.95 per kg (down 1.8%).
As to the report, as of this year May, Ukrainian domestic butter, sunoil, bread, flour, pasta, pork, beef, milk, cheese and beet prices remained almost same as of this year Apr.
However, at same time, as of this year May, Ukrainian domestic carrots, white cabbage and apples prices have slightly grown (due to seasonality factor).
