As of last week, while speaking within the seminar «Condition and prospects for buckwheat cultivation. Made in Ukraine», Ukrainian Deputy Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine Victor Sheremeta said the Ukrainian Ministry of Agrarian Policy and country agricultural producers must unite their efforts to find ways to boost their buckwheat output profitability, since recent years had been marked with domestic buckwheat output cyclical trend, Ukrainian Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food reports.
It is to be admitted, the event was organized by an International Association of Scientific Institutions and Buckwheat/Buckwheat Unique Products’ Producers and Processors.
The meeting was attended by Ukrainian people’s deputies, representatives of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy, Science Academy, Kyiv Regional State Administration, profile organizations and business managers.
«When the Ukrainian buckwheat-sown area shortens, domestic market buckwheat offer deficit becomes compensated by the offer of foreign buckwheat, often low-qualitative. Thus, our task is to boost the profitability of this unique, dietetic product output. It is necessary to further stimulate producers to cultivate this crop,» Sheremeta emphasized.
