HACCP implementation seminars started within Ukraine

As of this week, the UZA (Ukrainian Grain Association), supported by the Ukrainian Agrarian Ministry and Ukrainian State Service for Foods Safety and Consumer Protection, has started a a series of free training seminars for the Ukrainian elevators’ representatives as for implementation of the HACCP system, Ukrainian Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food reports.
As to the report, these trainings will take place within Ukrainian 10 cities: Kyiv, Vinnytsia, Poltava, Kropivnytskiy, Ternopil. Dnipro, Mykolayiv, Kharkiv, Kherson and Odesa.
Reportedly, the first practical seminar has begun today within Kyiv.
It is to be mentioned, since this year Sept 20, the implementation of the HACCP system is mandatory for the Ukrainian facilities which perform any activities with food products which do not contain raw animal ingredients (except for small-scale facilities) - what makes these seminars very topical.
It is to be admitted, the HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) is a system that identifies, assesses and controls hazards that are critical to the safety of food products.
It is to be admitted, the Ukrainian Grain Association (UZA) is an all-Ukrainian public organization established as of Dec 21, 1997 by the decision of the meeting participated by 78 delegates representing a number of Ukrainian powerful grain business structures.
As of now, the main purpose of the UZA activity is to promote the formation and development of a Ukrainian nationwide grains market, create the necessary organizational, economic, legal and social conditions for the Ukrainian grains market business structures’ development.
