Cabinet gives agricultural lands to first seven consolidated communities
27.02.2018 18:24 "Agro Perspectiva" (Kyiv) —
The Cabinet, within the framework of the decentralization process deepening, has transferred agricultural lands (located outside the settlements’ boundaries) into ownership of the Ukrainian first seven consolidated communities (CC), Government Portal reports.
It is to be admitted, this decision was approved by the Government still at this year Jan end, and today it enters into a practical phase of implementation.
As to the report, while commenting on the process, Ukrainian Prime Minister Volodymyr Groisman stressed the reform of decentralization had been introduced exactly 4 years ago, as of 2014 Feb. It was based on the idea of the development of communities potential. As to him within the last few years the process has become irreversible and the transfer of financial and administrative powers is legally adopted.
«Today, Feb 27, 2018, we give back what rightfully belongs to people - we vest the power of land management to communities,» the PM claimed.
As to him, the process of transfer of lands to the CC should be completed by the yearend. As to Groisman, now the consolidated communities have already enough powers, resources and lands so they must start building a better life.
