Ukraine launches 4G within Mar

As of yesterday, the Ukrainian National Commission for the State Regulation of Communications and Informatization had sold bids at a tender for 2600 MHz frequency range for the development of 4G technology within Ukraine to leading mobile operators, Ukrinform reports.
As to the report, while speaking after the announcement of results of bidding, General Director of Vodafone Ukraine Olha Ustinova said Ukrainians will be able to use 4G Internet already within this year Mar-Apr.
«We are ready. We are testing it so far, and we’ll start within Mar-Apr,» she said.
As to the report, Vodafone won the sixth lot with a bid of UAH345 million with the starting price fixed at UAH286 million. It also bought the seventh lot for the starting price set at UAH286 million.
Reportedly, Kyivstar bought the third and fourth lots for the starting price set at
UAH293 million. The fifth lot cost it UAH303.3 million (while the starting price was set at UAH286 million).
As to the report, Lifecell won the first and second lots with a bid of UAH601.6 million and UAH307.65 million (with the starting price set at UAH572 million and UAH293 million, respectively).
