Belinvestbank, EBRD mull over pilot project on Gomelkhlebprom reorganization

26.01.2018 18:11 "Agro Perspectiva" (Kyiv) — Belinvestbank and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development will launch a pilot project to reorganize Gomelkhlebprom, Belarus Radio says referring to Head of the EBRD Office within Belarus Alexander Pivovarskiy report. «It is one of the companies that Belinvestbank is cooperating with — Gomelkhlebprom. We have this new area of work in Belarus on the transformation of the state sector. It is about improving the state company management quality. We start working with Belavtodor and the State Property Committee. It is a very important project. In Gomel it will be a pinpoint project with Belinvestbank,» Pivovarskiy explained. As to him, Belinvestbank, with the support of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, is implementing a program to boost the efficiency of its activities and commercialization. «It is important for them to learn to work with companies that are their customers and need to be transformed. Sometimes it requires active work with consultants, companies that have the corresponding experience in carrying out transformations,» Pivovarskiy noted. As to Pivovarskiy, the project is already underway. «For us, this project is not connected to investments. This is technical assistance, expert consultations,» he explained.
