Least developed countries make progress within mobile internet access
26.01.2018 10:14 "Agro Perspectiva" (Kyiv) —
As of now, the Least Developed Countries (LDCs) are recording impressive progress towards boosting access to information and communication technologies, UN Radio says referring to the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) representative Cosmas Zavazava report.
As to Zavazava, presently all 47 LDCs have launched so-called 3G wireless mobile services, and over 60% of their population is now covered by a 3G network.
As to Zavazava, some LDCs have recently progressed to «developing country» status, and, as he says, «there is a correlation between the development of these countries, and access to the internet».
