Sheremeta: Farm management effective model forming is one of Agrarian Policy Ministry priorities

As of this week, while sharing an interview with one of the Ukrainian radios, Ukrainian Deputy Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food Viktor Sheremeta has said among the priorities of the Ministry is the stimulation of the farmers’ movement and the creation of a successful business model within Ukraine - that is, formation of an efficient and socially responsible rural owner, Ukrainian Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food reports.
As to Sheremeta, for the development of farms and agricultural cooperatives within 2018, significant State support is stipulated - about UAH1 milliard.
Besides, the farmers will also be able to take advantage of support within the framework of the program of development of livestock sector (about UAH4 milliard).
The main emphasis will be put on the construction of new and reconstruction of livestock farms, incl. cattle breeding. Also, among the support directions there are cheaper credit resources, support for the development of livestock industry and boost of the genetic potential of the farm animals.
As to Sheremata, another almost UAH1 milliard is stipulated for the program of partial compensation of the cost of the Ukraine-made agricultural machinery and equipment; UAH300 million - to support of horticulture, viticulture and hops.
Besides, in addition, the Deputy Minister has also focused on the issue of purchasing second-grade milk from the population. He stressed that no sanitary restrictions on the purchase of raw milk from the population was introduced.
He said the raw milk purchasing will continue as earlier; however, he stressed the rustic raw milk sellers must observe simple rules of hygiene of personnel and animals, as well as try to improve the raw milk output conditions.
