Poroshenko expects lawmakers to pass bill on anti-corruption court next session

As of yesterday, while speaking within a meeting with Parliament Speaker Andriy Parubiy, Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko said he hoped that the Verkhovna Rada would pass a bill on the creation of an anti-corruption law at the beginning of the next, eighth parliamentary session (to start this year Feb 6), UNIAN says referring to the President press service report.
«It is a shame that we did not manage to include the issue of the Anti-corruption Court in the agenda. However, I have no doubt that at the beginning of the parliaments next session this issue will be resolved,» Poroshenko noted.
As to the report, the President also admitted the parliament had managed to adopt a number of extremely important laws and legislatively supported the Ukrainian reforms. «We have initiated important reforms. Particularly, I would like to express gratitude for the judicial reform. I am glad that the judicial reform is now positively evaluated by the public and our international partners,» he said.
