Ukrainian delegation participated Global Forum on Food and Agriculture, Berlin

As of last week, within the framework of the International Green Week in Berlin (Germany), the 10th Global Forum on Food and Agriculture was held, with the main topic «The future of livestock breeding - sustainable, responsible, efficient», Ukrainian Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food reports.
As to the report, the Forum was participated by the Ukrainian delegation (incl. Ukrainian First Deputy Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food Maxym Martyniuk, Deputy Minister for European Integration Olga Trofimtseva, heads of departments of the Agriculture Ministry as well as representatives of the Embassy of Ukraine within Germany).
Reportedly, the Forum program included panel discussions, podium high-level discussion, international business panel as well as Berlin summit of agriculture ministers.
Among the issues discussed within the Forum were:
development of the global market trends of healthy eating and consumption;
importance of the development of the livestock sector for the purpose of proper food security, as a factor of the rural economic development;
sustainable output (feed output and shipments, management of climate change, sustainable water and land management, raising the level of health and welfare of animals).
As to the report, the key event of the Forum was the 10th Berlin Conference of Ministers of Agriculture.
Reportedly, the outcome of the Conference is the Joint Communiqué, the final document of the Forum, which includes the results of discussions within various formats of podiums, working groups, high-level discussions with the participation of international organizations and institutions (in part. the FAO and the European Commission).
