04.12.2017 16:11 "Agro Perspectiva" (Kyiv) —
As of today, while speaking within the II All-Ukrainian Forum of Consolidated Communities Life-Changing Initiatives, Ukrainian Prime Minister Volodymyr Groisman has offered signing of a Memorandum that will become an action plan for further implementation of decentralization reform launched within 2014, Ukrinform reports.
«Now we should sign the Memorandum with all participants (in decentralization reforms), representatives of local government. We should develop a clear action plan,» Groisman said.
As to the report, he stressed that the first stage of the reform had already took place. Local government bodies now have needed powers and financial resources.
Reportedly, Groisman also thanked the president, MPs, international partners for their support as for carrying out this reform and added that further actions include the formation of a regulatory framework for the administrative and territorial system, the creation of a system of self-government based on the basis of united communities.
«Our ultimate goal is a widespread local self-government with self-sufficient and strong communities. We should draw up a stable strategy for our state development, based on a strong local self-government that is focused on citizens and their needs,» the PM stressed.
