As of yesterday, while speaking within the International Mayors Summit dedicated to municipal innovation development, in Kyiv, Ukrainian Prime Minister Volodymyr Groisman said it is quite possible for the country economy to achieve 5% GDP growth next year despite the 3% growth forecasts, Ukrinform reports.
The Head of the Ukrainian Government said this, speaking at the International Mayors Summit in Kyiv on Wednesday, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
«The national economy is expected to grow by slightly over 3% next year. We stopped the decline of the national economy, but that’s not enough, I believe that 5% or even bigger growth of the national economy is an absolutely real task,» Groisman admitted.
As to him, the forecasted 3% growth stands for more than 400 billion worth of manufactured products compared to 2017. «Therefore, we can figure out the category and size of the national product we need to produce in order to achieve bigger growth,» he said.
