Over 100 swimming pools worth US$1 milliard to be built witin Ukraine before 2023

06.11.2017 18:12 "Agro Perspectiva" (Kyiv) — As of today, while speaking within the international conference City and Modern Swimming Pool, First Deputy President of the Ukrainian Swimming Federation Volodymyr Shumilin has said over 100 water sports complexes worth about US$1 milliard will be built within Ukraine over the next five years, Interfax-Ukraine reports. «At least 100 water sports complexes will appear within Ukraine within the next five years. Fitness industry and municipalities, which decentralization enabled to realize the needs of citizens in the sports infrastructure, are working simultaneously in this direction,» he said. As to the forecasts of the Federation, fitness service market operators within 2018–2023 will create new water sports facilities within large and medium-sized cities (from 250,000 inhabitants), while municipalities - within large, medium and small settlements. As to the Federation, now 534 swimming pools and swimming complexes operate within Ukraine. Of these, 100 are privately owned - within the structure of fitness complexes and hotels.
