Unique entrepreneur development forum gets underway within Bahrain

As of yesterday, a three-day World Entrepreneurs Investment Forum 2017 opened within Manama (Bahrain), UN Radio reports.
As to the report, the Forum is focused upon the role of entrepreneurship in promoting global development The Forum
has been organized by the UN Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) in partnership with the Government.
As to the report, the Forum aims to leverage entrepreneurship and creative thinking to strengthen sustainable development around the world.
As to the report, within a video message to participants, UN Secretary-General António Guterres praised its focus on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The 17 goals which include combating hunger and promoting decent work for all seek to achieve a more just and equitable world by 2030.
at the UN Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO).
"The role of impact investment and innovation is further highlighted by the Sustainable Development Goals and especially Goal 9, which seeks to build resilient infrastructure, promote sustainable industrialization and foster innovation, " Hiroshi Kuniyoshi, UNIDO Deputy Director General, said.
As to the report, over 1,000 participants including entrepreneurs; representatives of micro, small and medium enterprises, as well as financial institutions are attending the Forum.
Reportedly, some of the themes they will discuss include the importance of private capital in filling the funding gap to meet the SDGs, and the challenges facing women entrepreneurs.
