Ukrainian Anna Muzychuk wins European Women Rapid Chess Championship

As of this year Oct 22, Ukrainian chess player Anna Muzychuk, who is the current world rapid & blitz chess champion, won the European Womens Rapid Chess Championship 2017 within Monaco, Ukrinform says referring to Sport.ua portal report.
As to the report, Muzychuk scored 9 out of 11 possible points, won seven games and tied another four games.
Reportedly, the climax within the struggle for the gold medal happened within the 11th final round, when Hanna defeated French Pauline Guichard.
Former Ukrainian citizen Kateryna Lagno, who now represents Russia, took silver having scored 8.5 points.
As to the report, Ukrainian Prime Minister Volodymyr Groisman congratulated Ukrainian chess player Anna Muzychuk on winning the gold medal of the European Womens Rapid Chess Championship 2017.
«I congratulate Ukrainian chess player Anna Muzychuk on phenomenal performance and winning the gold medal of the European Womens Rapid Chess Championship,» Groisman wrote on Twitter.
