Ukraine, Israel close to FTA conclusion

Ukraine has held an intensive round of talks with Israel on the conclusion of the Free Trade Agreement. The parties discussed the issues related to the liberalization of commodity markets, Ukrinform says referring to Ukrainian
Deputy Economic Development and Trade Minister, Trade Representative Natalia Mykolska report.
«Israel is a market in focus, as provided for by the export strategy of Ukraine. During the negotiation process, we have made significant efforts to accelerate the conclusion of the Free Trade Agreement in order to deepen economic relations with this country. We have held an intensive round of talks with the Israeli side, within which we considered the most important issues related to the liberalization of commodity markets and agreed on the relevant provisions of the draft wording of the agreement,» Mykolska said.
As to the report, the Ukrainian goods export to Israel shows a steady growth. Thus, within the first seven months of 2017, the exports from Ukraine amounted to US$345.7 million, up 25.6% against last year similar.
