Mykolska: A dialogue with regional business is crucial as they are major exporters

As of today, while speaking within the IX International Economic Forum «Innovations. Investments. Kharkiv Initiatives!» in Kharkiv, Ukrainian Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Trade/ Ukrainian Trade Representative Natalia Mykolska has said the Ukrainian Ministry of Economic Development and Trade will develop cooperation with regional businesses to greater use their export opportunities, Government Portal reports.
«Why is cooperation with regions, regional business significant for the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine? As exports are not produced in Kyiv, exports are produced in the regions. Products and services are made in the region, main production facilities are located here,» Mykolska noted.
As to her, Kharkiv region can boast rapid development of machine engineering, as well as a promising IT cluster, with the representatives of which was recently agreed to cooperate.
As to Mykolska, within this year 7 months, the Kharkiv region companies have exported goods for total
US$671 million (up 18.3% against last year similar).
«As Ukrainian Trade Representative, I want to emphasize that invetsmnts are attracted now mainly into Ukrainian export-orientated industry branches. So, we are going to discuss export opportunities for Kharkiv businesses to enter foreign markets, as well as prospects for attracting investment, in particular in production on the territory of Ukraine with further export abroad,» she said.
