UNICEF: Invest more into policies that support childhood development

As of yesterday, the UNICEF (UN Childrens Fund) has made a report urging governments and the private sector to support three basic national policies which benefit early childhood development, UN Radio says.
As to the report, now only 15 countries worldwide have these policies in place.
The measures include providing families with two years of free pre-primary education; offering paid breastfeeding breaks within the first six months of a childs life; as well as six months of paid maternity leave and four weeks of paid paternal leave.
As to the report, now that Cuba, France, Portugal, Russia and Sweden are the only countries which have all three policies in place.
Furthermore, 85 million of the worlds children are growing up in 32 countries which have not implemented any of the policies.
