As of this week, while speaking within a round table, Vladyslav Karpenko, an expert on rural business development at the USAID Agriculture and Rural Development Support Program for Ukraine has said the Program experts have elaborated the concept of a roadmap to adjust processing and distributing of agricultural products produced within Donetsk and Luhansk regions and adjacent areas of Zaporizhzhia region, Ukrinform reports.
«In our opinion, the main emphasis in the development of road map and the definition of subsequent activities should be laid on combining the efforts of both authorities and small and medium-sized enterprises, including owner-operated farm and united territorial communities,» Karpenko said.
As to the expert, the main goal of the USAID road map is to improve the value chains for agricultural products produced in Donetsk and Luhansk regions and the adjacent areas of Zaporizhzhia region. As to Karpenko, this primarily concerns raw milk, meat, vegetables and fruits’ output .
