Groisman urges to develop agricultural sector, domestic processing industry

As of today, while visiting the XXIX International Agricultural Exhibition AGRO-2017 in Kyiv, Ukrainian Prime Minister Volodymyr Groisman has said Government introduced several programs to support the country agriculture (which employs one in six Ukrainian citizen), and the current objective is not only to sow but also to process the raw product inside the country, Government Portal reports.
As to the report, Groisman reminded that the reinvestment in the country this year would amount to 1% of the volume of production, another sum worth UAH550 million had been allotted to support the domestic agricultural equipment output. Next year, as to Groisman, the agricultural sector support amount could reach
UAH6.5 billion, while the agricultural engineering support amount UAH1billion.
«We will spare no effort to introduce new technologies within the agricultural sector. We have perfect potential in science, major investment in the agricultural sector, and the latter is growing», said the Prime Minister. «However, our essential objective is to develop rural areas. I would like that by pursuing necessary reforms we could give a new impetus to the development of farming, small and medium-sized businesses. We must work on this issue and we will succeed,» Groisman emphasized.
